When: August 25-27, 2026, 9am - 3pm
Where: Georgia Tech Research Institute in Huntsville, AL, 8800 Redstone Gateway SW Suite 100, Huntsville, AL 35808
Why: After years of providing virtually, we are happy to be able to provide in-person training with our newly revised NISPOM Deep Dive.
Because not everyone works in all NISPOM disciplines, this course is designed to refresh current skills and dive into unfamiliar NISPOM areas.
This course is helpful for:
- Retirees or others looking for a career change
- College students looking for opportunities
- Industrial security employees
- FSOs
- Seasoned professionals studying for security certification
- Those seeking more in-depth NISPOM study
- Much more
Increase your understanding of NISPOM. Taking this course helps demonstrate application of DCSA Gold Standard Criteria.
FSOs and SMOs who take part in training and professional improvement can provide certificates to demonstrate attendance; you can get that certificate here.
NISPOM Fundamentals training is for those who want to understand performing under classified contracts. This training is for defense contractors and employees who want to:
- Increase grasp of NISPOM
- Study for Industrial Security Professional (ISP)and the Industrial Security Oversight Certification (ISOC) Certifications
- Demonstrate compliance
- Understand security clearances and how to perform on government contracts
- ECU or credit recommendations for recertification
You know how many defense contractors find government regulations like NISPOM difficult to apply? You can use this course to better understand NISPOM requirements and how to apply it in your organizations.
This training dives into National Industrial Security Program (NISP) requirements to protect classified information so that the student can better grasp the elements of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). When finished, the student will have a better understanding of how it applies to their cleared employees, facilities and protection for classified information.
NISPOM Fundamentals training is for those who want to understand performing under classified contracts, senior management officials, Insider Threat Program Senior Officials, Facility Security Officers, Cleared Defense Contractors, Cleared Employees, and those studying for Industrial Security Professional (ISP) and Industrial Security Professional Oversight Certification (ISOC).
